    1. It's working so far! And productivity is at an all-time high, hehe! I just knew too well how much time the "quick check" of FB, IG, Pinterest etc was sucking out of my day. I needed to make a shift!
      Shifts are hard!! :) xxx

    1. Yeah, it's kind of annoying having to make a run for phone calls too ;)

  3. Only today I have decided to turn my phone off (I know!) between the hours of 9am-3pm Monday to Friday. Good on you for setting boundaries! Remember the days before our mobiles ruled our lives? I want to go back to that so much. We can do it xo

    1. Woah! Off!! That is hardcore my friend! But good on you!
I just remember my mum's life when we were little, seemed so much simpler when the phone was stuck to the wall so she couldn't spend all day on it!! xx

    2. Remember when we worked at jobs and we weren't allowed our mobile phone switched on? I want to go back to that. I figured since I'm homeschooling, I would make my school 'work' hours 9am-3pm and turn my mobile off.

I find my mobile too distracting...like for example today. I turned my mobile off only to have hub call me on the landline and ask me to turn my phone back on so RACQ could phone me to pick up his car that had broken down at our home. I ended up playing around with Heytell and sending messages to Mrs Clark. Ha! Ahem...what?

So in conclusion...I need to take drastic measures to ensure it doesn't distract me ;)

  5. Seems a bit to low for children in the house, mine always take mine off to play with unless it is higher up! Love your drawer handles x

    1. Thanks Grace! They were an ebay find - the bedside I found at a second-hand store and it had hideous ugly pink handles on it, which had to be rectified immediately!
Yes, my little ones have quite a liking to my phone too, but I find it's short lived and they're easily distracted!

  6. i think i would need to lock mine up some where!! ;) no Iphone for me and now my hubby is back at work he is taking the iPad!! We are having a no screen day in our house (except I am on here.......haha as I am working form home today - somehow with 3 kiddies in tow). Good luck with the boundaries Em - we all need them :)

    1. A no-screen day is an excellent idea!
Husband was surprisingly eager for this new rule about our phones, I think even he sees how anti-social they can be if we let them!

  7. Okay! I love this! I think I might sew my iPhone a comfy little place where it can hang out for the day! I too check those top three time suckers and love that you're being proactive and claiming back your time! :)
